I only found out one night after terawih early Ramadhan that Cikgu Azizah who lives on the same street in my neighbourhood is also a Srikandi. I was sipping the hot teh susu during moreh when Emak suddenly pointed at me and said, "Haa dia ni lah yang STF dulu.."
Cikgu Azizah and Emak was walking towards the moreh table.
"Ooo yang ini..batch mana?"
"Saya 95-99. Eh,,Cikgu pun STF jugak ke? Tahun berapa?"
"Batch 69. Lepas tu sambung lagi Form 6 kat situ sampai 71."
"Oo..30 tahun kemudian baru saya masuk situ. Heheh"
"Haa yela..dah lama dah kitorang keluar sekolah. Eh baru aritu our batch buat 40th years reunion. Ada laa 40 orang datang..Seronok betul jumpa balik diorang. Even Pn. Badiah, Pengetua kitorang masa tu pun datang"
Wow! I thought. 40th years reunion!
Just imagine..having a high school reunion lepas umur pencen...
Mesti ada cite: "Ko apa khabar,,aritu buat heart bypass kan?...Lutut aku dah sengal2 la skang,,xlarat dah nak kejar cucu...Nampak fit je,,amik supplement apa?...Eh last month ada terjumpa si polan masa kitorang sama2 buat dialisis"
Or on a lighter note: "Berapa dah cucu skarang?...Posting last sekali before pencen aritu katne?...Eh dapat pegi haji kan tahun ni? Sama la kita!...Haa dapat dah kad kawin anak ko tu. Anak yg last kan ni,,kena la aku datang"
I hope Srikandi 959 will be able to have a 40th reunion as well. And have a Jubli Emas the next decade, and even more gatherings afterwards.
Ohh...kepada yang sedang buat kira-kira/deduksi mudah untuk soalan "if 40 people attend a 40-year reunion, how many people attend 10-year reunion?" (wah tiba-tiba soalan berbunyi PPSMI walhal sekolah tahun 90-an dulu belum guna pun lagi PPSMI), I would like to stress here that 10 shall not be the answer.
So let's make our first step by making the 10-year reunion a glorious one! Those girls who haven't confirmed your attendance, please RSVP quickly at the reunion blog or via Facebook okies!

hello kakak..u may not remember me back then..coz i'm not that famous to be remembered..hehe. but i think dlu mase i form2, kelas i ade main ape ek,yg anta mess within that 2 classes je tu.lupe dah. kelas kitorg dgn kelas akak la rasenye.hehe.
saje drop by..cane tah leh jumpe belog ni..eh, lupe nak introduce.i'm fara. batch 9701..kitorg pon bakal buat 10th reunion on 2011..hehe.aritu ade buat reunion berbuke pose pon ramai je yg dtg..so, reunion batch akak pon mesti ramai yg dtg..especially dah 10 thn tak jumpe kan..akak ke yg arrange reunion? so, gudluck eh. ;)
rasanya bkn sbb awak xfamous,,tp kita yg ada masalah hilang ingatan nama2 org kot ;p siyes xingat..korang form 2 apa yg kita main tu eh? siyes xingat jugak..huhuh
reunion is really a challenge when everybody has their own commitments and are scattered all around the globe.so u guys just keep in touch & gather as many as possible k.gudlak utk 2 thn lg :)
